Tulip the seal is a super commuter

The Wildlife Trusts’ Living Seas review of 2019 brings good news from the marine environment. Minke whales, bottlenose dolphins and porpoise have been recorded swimming off the Yorkshire Coast and growing numbers of sandwich terns and razorbills in North Wales and Scotland.

One of the most amazing discoveries is Tulip Belle, a seal that commutes from Cornwall to the Isle of Man every couple of years to have her pups.

And more good seal news… there are now 483 grey seals at South Walney in Cumbria – there were just two in 1981!
